Has anyone used a staff with a fiberglass core? I just made one and really like it, I just wanted to get some feedback from some long time users.

    Yeah.

My layup was 5 layers 0/90/0/90/0, where 0 degree is inline with the axis of the staff. Super light and seemed quite rigid, but unfortunatly, horrifically wrong, as it sheared cleanly when I dropped it the third of fourth time. Broke smoothly in half.

Meh, I've built other things that worked better, and I figure a 50% failure rate of my first-generation prototypes ain't bad.
